Poem - Day 15

Do I?

My brother is
and I rejoice,
but puzzle at
the brouhaha

My sister said
she might not wait
another year
past 39

My other sister
wanted to
but couldn’t in
our sunburnt land

My son observed
you don’t have to
just fall in love
like mum and dad

My parents’
lasted 26
but now they aren’t
on speaking terms

My book revealed
at 40-odd
Miss Potter did
for 30 years

I resolved
if we survive
three decades
maybe
we should
too

  1. LOVE. The rhythm is wonderful and it reads like a story. Terrific job, Nadine.
